Poached apples stuffed with walnuts

Method

  1. Core the apples and sprinkle with lemon juice.
  2. Mix the dates or raisins, walnuts and cinnamon; stuff the apples.
  3. Place them in a pot, pour water halfway up and cook 20 minutes over low heat.
  4. Let cool and scatter extra walnuts before serving.
