Privacy policy
The site is a project for religious and catechetical information. It requires no account, uses no advertising cookies and does not collect excessive personal data. Data sent through the “Ask a question” and “Prayer request” forms is used only to reply or handle the request.
Data controller
The data controller for the Site content is the Site publisher, who can be reached at contact@ortodoxiasimplu.ro. The Site is published as a personal, non-commercial and independent project.
General principles
The Site is static and informative. It requires no registration, offers no user account, does not sell personal data and does not use behavioural advertising.
The question and prayer request forms send information voluntarily entered by the visitor directly to the publisher through Web3Forms. The Site does not store this data on its own server.
Data processed automatically
Like any website accessible online, simply visiting the Site causes the Cloudflare Pages host to technically process certain connection data (notably the IP address and browser information) for the operation, performance and security of the server. This processing is handled by the host; the publisher does not use it to identify visitors.
In addition, only pages featuring a map load some technical resources from third-party services, which may transmit the visitor's IP address to the provider concerned: unpkg (the Leaflet mapping library — unpkg.com) and OpenStreetMap (map tiles — tile.openstreetmap.org). None of these services is used by the Site for tracking or advertising.
Data sent through forms
The “Ask a question” form may transmit the entered name, email address if provided, the question, the page URL and technical information needed to deliver the message.
The “Prayer request” form may transmit the entered name, email address, names to be commemorated, the page URL and technical information needed to deliver the message.
This data is used only to receive the question, reply where relevant, or handle the prayer request. It is not used for newsletters, profiling, advertising or commercial transfer.
Cookies
The Site sets no analytics or advertising cookies.
The Site may use localStorage for strictly local preferences, such as the visual theme or selected language. This information remains in the visitor's browser and is not transmitted to the publisher.
The “My path” feature may also keep recent readings, questions noted for a priest, first names from the private pomelnic, and pages you choose to save in localStorage. A saved page can be cached locally on request, and export/import uses a JSON file that you download and upload yourself. This data stays on your device, is not sent through a form, and can be cleared from the “My path” page or by clearing the site's data in your browser.
Purposes and legal basis
Technical processing serves the operation, security and display of the Site. Its legal basis is the controller's legitimate interest in providing a functional, secure site (Article 6.1.f GDPR).
Data sent voluntarily through the forms is based on the visitor's consent, expressed by ticking the agreement box before sending.
Recipients
The technical data mentioned above is accessible only to the host and, where applicable, to the third-party resource providers mentioned. Data sent through the forms is transmitted to Web3Forms to deliver the message to the publisher; it is received on email addresses of the ortodoxiasimplu.ro domain, forwarded to the publisher's inbox via Cloudflare Email Routing. No data is transmitted for commercial purposes.
Retention period
The publisher retains no personal data on the Site server. Any technical logs are kept by Cloudflare according to its own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Messages sent through the forms are delivered by Web3Forms and may be kept in the publisher's inbox for as long as needed to handle them, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection regarding your data. Because the Site stores no personal data on its own server, these requests mainly concern messages voluntarily sent through the forms. You may request the deletion or correction of your data at any time by writing to contact@ortodoxiasimplu.ro.
You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
