Sautéed Swiss Chard

Method
- Wash the chard thoroughly.
- Separate the white stems from the green leaves.
- Break the stems into pieces about 2 cm long and remove the strings.
- Boil the stems for 15 minutes with the cardamom seeds and bay leaf, then drain.
- Slice the onion.
- Cut the green of the leaves into strips about 1 cm wide.
- In a wok, heat the olive oil and add in turn: the onion, the pre-cooked stems, then the leaves.
- Cover and cook for 12 minutes, stirring regularly.
- Add the sliced garlic and pepper.
- Pour in half a glass of water with a few drops of soy sauce.
- Add a little soy cream and cook another 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Suggestion: pan-fried or steamed carrots go very well with this dish.
